Build, Stabilize and Lead the Accounting Function
We are currently looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join a rapidly growing international company and take a key role in shaping and stabilizing the local accounting function during an exciting transformation period.
This is not a routine accounting role — it is an opportunity to be part of a major organizational change, including the internalization of accounting processes and the implementation of a new Microsoft Dynamics system.

Your key responsibilities
- Oversee the full accounting function in compliance with Hungarian GAAP and tax regulations
- Lead and support the local accounting team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Coordinate monthly and year-end closings, financial statements, and audit processes
- Act as the main point of contact for auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with the international finance team and support the ongoing Microsoft Dynamics implementation
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help build efficient, sustainable accounting workflows
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all accounting activities
What we are looking for
- Solid experience in Hungarian statutory accounting and tax compliance
- Proven background in end-to-end accounting and closing processes
- Experience in audit coordination and working with external auditors
- Native-level Hungarian and fluent English communication skills are absolute musts
- Ability to work in a changing, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities
- People-oriented leadership style with a hands-on mindset
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a strong advantage)
- IFRS experience is considered a strong advantage, particularly in an international reporting environment
